WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

A PROJECT BORN FROM A REAL NEED

Espai Segur began as my Final Project for the Higher Degree in Graphic Production Design and Management, but its story starts much earlier.

For years I have worked supporting children and teenagers. Along the way I have seen how many conversations about respect, personal boundaries, emotions or consent often come too late or simply never happen.

Espai Segur was born from the need to create a tool that helps open these dialogues in an accessible, kind and participatory way.

Because talking about respect should not be an exceptional conversation, but a natural part of education and of living together.

WHAT IS ESPAI SEGUR?

Espai Segur is a cooperative game designed for children and teenagers.

Through questions, everyday situations, creative challenges and participatory dynamics, the children reflect on:

  • Self-respect and respect for others
  • Personal boundaries
  • Consent
  • Emotions
  • Coexistence
  • Diversity
  • Empathy
  • Conflict resolution

The goal is not to compete, but to build together a path towards Espai Segur: a symbolic place where everyone is heard, respected and taken into account.

MEET THE CHARACTERS OF ESPAI SEGUR

BODY

Helps us listen to what we feel. Body accompanies the activities related to emotions, sensations, personal boundaries and consent. With Body we discover that our body also speaks to us and deserves to be heard.

QUESTION

Is curious about everything and never stops asking. Question accompanies conversations, doubts and reflections. It reminds us that asking is a way to learn, understand and build critical thinking.

OBSERVE

Is always attentive to what happens around them. Observe invites us to look calmly, listen and notice details that often go unnoticed. With Observe we learn that understanding the world also begins by observing it.

ACT

Loves to move, try new things and take action. Act accompanies the most dynamic activities of the game. Through small challenges, role-plays and everyday situations, it helps put into practice what we are learning.

CREATE

Imagines, invents and builds new possibilities. Create accompanies the most creative activities of the game. Drawing, imagining, writing or building are also ways of expressing what we think and feel.

MORE THAN A GAME

Espai Segur is not about giving the right answers.

It is about generating questions.

Creating spaces for conversation.

Encouraging listening.

And remembering that respectful relationships are also learned and built.

Because educating in respect, diversity and personal boundaries is a collective responsibility.
