WHEN NOBODY IS WATCHING
A SELF-KNOWLEDGE WORKSHOP THROUGH THE GRAPHIC ARTS
Who are we when other people's expectations disappear? Who are we when nobody is watching? We live surrounded by labels. Some we choose ourselves, others are placed on us by society. We are told how to dress, what we should like, how to behave, or even who we ought to be.
This workshop is an invitation to pause and look inward.
Through experiential dynamics, conversations, writing, collage, illustration, and graphic experimentation, each participant will begin a process of self-knowledge to discover those parts of themselves that often stay hidden behind the expectations of others. It is not about finding a definitive answer. It is about giving ourselves permission to ask questions.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
- We will reflect on the labels that accompany us and those we want to leave behind.
- We will explore who we are through collage, illustration, words, colors, and textures.
- We will create a graphic piece that represents our identity from a free, personal, and creative perspective.
- We will share a safe space to express ourselves without judgment, always respecting each participant’s pace.
WHAT DO WE WORK ON?
- Self-knowledge.
- Identity and personal expression.
- Diversity and respect.
- Emotional management.
- Self-esteem.
- Critical thinking about social labels.
- Creativity and artistic experimentation.
OBJECTIVES
- Foster self-knowledge and the construction of one’s own identity from a free and respectful perspective.
- Create a safe space where participants can express emotions, concerns, and reflections without fear of judgment.
- Encourage respect for the diversity of identities, gender expressions, and ways of living.
- Develop creativity and the graphic arts as tools for personal expression and communication.
- Strengthen self-esteem and confidence through an individual creative process.
- Promote critical thinking about labels, stereotypes, and social expectations.
- Offer tools so each participant can keep exploring their identity beyond the workshop.

- Guided dynamics for reflection and self-knowledge.

FINAL RESULT
Each participant will take home a unique graphic piece created during the workshop. But the most important result will not be what stays on the paper, but the experience lived: a space to listen to oneself, discover oneself, and look at oneself with more freedom and less judgment.
